Q1 Niffty you are a development Coach for the 2009 season, Which Teams are you working with?

A1 All the regional sides. Assisting Mark Browning

Q2 You have a lot of Footy knowledge to pass on to these players, what is your coaching history?

A2 I started coaching at Mt Gravatt back in 1980 at junior level for a few years , then coached Wynnum in the SQAFA before coaching rugby League for a couple of years as my son Brad played league for 5-6 yrs when he was young. I got back into coaching real football when Brad started to play with Mt Gravatt in about 92-93. I the coached the South Eastern Bushrangers under 16's for a couple of years and assisted Rob Amos with the 18's . After that I was appointed coach of the Queensland U/16's for about 7-8 years and I also coached the Taipans U/18's at the same time. Last year I coached the Queensland Under 18's.

Q3 You played a couple of AFL (VFL) games with South Melbourne, How many games did you play for them and who was your coach.?

A3 I played 27 Games. Our coach was Norm Smith.

Q4.Did you get any specialist coaching through your playing days...

A4 Yes I did......Running tech. (because I was slow) and plenty of skill work.

Q5. What club did you play at after South Melbourne ?

A5 West Adelaide .... ..... Sandy Bay (Tassie)

Q6 Where did you play your junior football?

A6 Wagga NSW.

Q7. Did you play in or win any Premierships?

A7 Yes...... ..76, 77,78... .............. Sandy Bay

Q8 What did you enjoy most of about your playing days that you might be encouraging today's kids to take away from football with them?

A8 The mateship footy creates.

Q9. The 2009 Velocity Sports Cup, looks like being a very exciting, and one of the most eagerly waited for in years. Are you looking forward to it and how do you see the two new teams, Aspley Hornets and Western Magpies going ?

A9 Yes it's an exciting time for AFLQ .............I think the new teams will d it tough in their first year but will get better with time.

Q10. State League Clubs have picked up some handy AFL Players, Nathan Ablett to Broadbeach, Jeff White has been a very handy pick up by Redland Bombers and Aspley Hornets have scored with picking Robbie Copeland, do you think these players will help these clubs add another level of competitive- ness to the State League competition ?

A10 They certainly will, that sort of experience is invaluable.

Q11 How do you think the Brisbane Lions Will go in 2009.

A11 If they stay relative clear of injuries they should go all right.

Q12 . How do you think Michel Voss will go in coaching the Brisbane Lions ?

A12 Vossy helped me with the Qld side last year and in my opinion he will be an excellent coach.

Q13 Did you ever get to Coach Brett or Michael Voss in their football playing days..?

Q13 No I didn't coach either of the Voss boys.

Q14Your Son Brad is currently playing for the Melbourne AFL club, the club has had its share of hard times lately. Has Brad given you any insight into how they might fair in the 2009 season?

A14 They can't get any worse.... only way is up.........Brad is pretty upbeat about the coming season and enjoying training at the moment.

Q15 Who do you think will win the 2009 AFL Competition.

A15 Geelong

Q16 Who do you think will win the Qld Velocity Sports Cup in the 2009 Competition.

A16 Mt Gravatt

Q17 Which AFL club did you Barrack for as a child?

A17 St Kilda....

Q18 Do you still barrack for them today?

A18 No Now it s Melbourne.

Q19. Who were your sporting "Heroes "when you were playing junior sports?

A19 Carl Ditterich............Lionel Rose...........Johnny Famechon.

Q20 If you could invite four "Sports Stars" to dinner who would they are.......? If you want to you can add a couple of other names as well as we might find a sponsor to cover the costs. (Ha Ha)

A20 Mohammed Ali...... John Daly....Oscar De La Hoys..... Greg Hall........ and Norm Smith (if he was still with us).
